Nothing can change your perception of your own life like falling in love with someone else's. It is so typically human to use the life energy of another to fill up our souls and find strength through a lover's experience. Does this mean we are nothing without a partner to draw energy from? Not at all. But there is strength in numbers, even if it is just 2. In fact, 2 can be the most powerful number of all. The creation of the together entity and using the energy of a lover, friend or hero to accelerate your growth is what I call The Law Of Inspiration.
Like fire feeding a fire, we tap into our greater selves when inspired by someone we love or admire. So much is created by the essence of another: creativity, teamwork, courage, ideas, self appreciation, humility...the list is endless. And when looking back at your past relationships or even your current one, you know what I am talking about.
Think about how much you learn from talking to your lover. When they are healthy, happy and bring their entire selves to the relationship, there is nothing you can't learn, feel and do. I can count in the hundreds the things that my lovers have inspired me to do...find the courage to do new things, think better about myself and lift my confidence to reaches beyond my imagination. When I am in a relationship, I discover growth. When I am single, I land in complacency. And there is nothing wrong with being single. In fact, I become a better partner when I practice spending time with myself, loving myself and concentrating on bettering myself. But for me, being in a relationship gives me wings.
So what is the point of the Law Of Inspiration? That it is one of the things that drive men and women to be together. To find meaning in relationships besides just procreating or a cure to loneliness. That there is a give and take to be in a relationship...you gain so much that you desire to give back as much. That knowing there is a reason for love beyond the craziness, uncertainty and psycho babble. Inspiration can be a measuring stick of the compatibility of the two lovers. Do you feel like your lover gives your life meaning? Do you desire to be the best that you can be to give your lover wings? Is each one of your lives better off because of the other?
You are perfect in your own right. So is your partner. Ideally, both of your lives are in balance and harmony. The Law Of Inspiration takes it one step further. The concept of Inspiration is one person draws energy, faith, hope and strength from another. The beauty of a partnership that can't take place alone. 1 + 1 really does equal alot more than 2. It equals the strength of a thousand hands, the shine of a million suns, a height where adversity cannot reach and the enormity to hold the Universe in the palm of your hand. Take that!
